Antelope hunting is another trip that every hunter should do at least once. The best time to hunt pronghorns is when it's hot and dry, which is the worst time to hunt deer. So, chasing speed goats won't hamper your other priorities. Another benefit of antelope hunting is that you get to travel out West to do it. If you're wanting to get away from the normal grind, the West is where you want to go. Small towns, laid-back atmosphere, and one-of-a-kind characters is what the West is all about. As a pronghorn hunting guide, I can vouch for this hunt. I've found September 10 to about September 30 to be the best time, with September 22nd being the peak. The rut is in full swing and if you get some high temps...you're in for a show.

It has the numbers of antelope needed for a successful hunt, but without the pressure of other states.
